Repaired Artifical Nerves (IMAGE) Neural Regeneration Research Caption After repair of artificial nerves constructed with acellular nerve allografts and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, motor endplates with acetylcholinesterase-positive nerve fibers were orderly arranged in the middle and superior parts of the gastrocnemius muscle, as shown by acetylcholinesterase histochemistry. Further, regenerated nerve tracts and sprouted branches were connected with motor endplates as shown by ace-tylcholinesterase histochemistry combined with silver staining.
