Hyphae of A. finlayi have simple septa with no pores. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Aug. 12, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Anna Rosling of Uppsala BioCentre in Uppsala, Sweden, and colleagues was titled, "Archaeorhizomycetes: Unearthing an Ancient Class of Ubiquitous Soil Fungi."
