This is a complete piece of Tissint meteorite (south of Morocco) weighting 7.3 grams, totally covered by a shiny fusion crust. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the October 11, 2012, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The paper, by Hasnaa Chennaoui Aoudjehane at Hassan II University Casablanca in Casablanca, Morocco, and colleagues was titled, “Tissint Martian Meteorite: A Fresh Look at the Interior, Surface and Atmosphere of Mars.”
