A female wandering albatross in flight off the Crozet Islands. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Jan. 13, 2012, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Henri Weimerskirch at Centre d’Etudes Biologiques de Chizé, CNRS in Villiers en Bois, France, and colleagues, was titled, “Changes in Wind Pattern Alter Albatross Distribution and Life-History Traits.”
