A smart jello-like bandage can shrink and help close the wound rapidly when placed onto the skin and exposed to the skin temperature. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the July 24th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by S.O. Blacklow at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, and colleagues was titled, "Bioinspired mechanically active adhesive dressings to accelerate wound closure."
