This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 9, 2012, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The paper, by John Lesku at Max Planck Institute for Ornithology in Seewiesen, Germany, and colleagues was titled, “Adaptive Sleep Loss in Polygynous Pectoral Sandpipers.”
