Time-lapse 3-color fluorescence imaging of HeLa cells transfected with plasmids encoding R-GECO1 targeted to the nucleus, G-GECO1 targeted to the cytoplasm, and GEM-GECO1 to the mitochondria. This video relates to an article that appeared in the Sept. 8, 2011, issue of Science Express, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Y. Zhao of University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB, Canada, and colleagues was titled, "An Expanded Palette of Genetically Encoded Ca2+ Indicators."
