This brightly-colored gecko, Cnemaspis psychedelica, was not discovered until 2010 and has achieved great popularity within a very short time. This endemic lives exclusively on the island of Hon Khoai in Vietnam which measures a mere eight square kilometers. These geckos have been offered for sale in Europe on a regular basis since 2013 -- one pair for €2,500 to €3,000.
