OLED lifetime test (IMAGE) Kyushu University Caption Highly efficient, pure-blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) developed by researchers at Kyushu University in Japan are being tested to measure their lifetime. Based on hyperfluorescence, which uses a two-molecule process to emit light, the OLEDs emit pure-blue emission and exhibit significantly improved lifetimes compared to other highly efficient devices, all without using expensive metal atoms.
