West-Antarctic Ice-Sheet Rebound 10,000 Years Ago (IMAGE)
Caption
New data indicates that the retreat of the West Antarctic ice masses after the last Ice Age in some parts of the continent was reversed surprisingly about 10,000 years ago. The maximum ice sheet extension is shown in green, the minimum extent in red, and the modern grounding line after the rebound in orange.
