Madame Berthe's Mouse Lemur (IMAGE)

The only known occurrence of the Madame Berthe's mouse lemur (Microcebus berthae) is around the Kirindy forest in western Madagascar. Due to the ongoing destruction of the remaining forests, the world's smallest primate is classified as critically endangered by the IUCN.
