Scientists took to the sky and zigzagged between two vastly different settings -- pristine air over the Amazon rainforest and polluted air over the city of Manaus -- to obtain rare and valuable air samples. They learned that human-caused pollution spurs the production of climate-changing particles much more than previously thought.
