FABP5 Promotes Lipid Metabolism and Inflammation in Prostate and Breast Cancer Cells (IMAGE)
Caption
High expression of FABP5 promotes fatty acid metabolism through lipolysis and de novo fatty acid synthesis in prostate and breast cancer cells. Activation of PKC and increase in ROS levels by FABP5 induce NF-κB and expression of its target genes involved in cancer development.
