According to the American Cancer Society, about 45,000 Americans will have died from pancreatic cancer by year's end. That's more than the number projected to die from breast cancer. Researchers in the WVU School of Medicine are exploring new ways to improve the survival rates--and the quality of life--of pancreatic cancer patients. A new drug combination they studied, called FOLFIRINOX, was associated with longer overall survival and better surgical options in a recent meta-analysis.
