This is student Olga Shostak at one of the new LED-bioreactors at Technische Universität München. The LED equipped bioreactor enables exact simulation of natural sunlight. A precise simulation is the prerequisite for reliable prognoses in the process of selecting the most promising kinds of algae for the production of protein mass, fats and chemical intermediates.
