Before an induced stroke, all animals smoothly performed both tasks, and they used precision grip in the vertical-slit task. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 6 April 2018 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by H. Abe at Yokohama City University Graduate School of Medicine in Yokohama, Japan, and colleagues was titled, "CRMP2-binding compound, edonerpic maleate, accelerates motor function recovery from brain damage."
