This is an injection schematic (nine injections using a calibrated grid) of gels containing 20 mg of rTIMP-3 per 100-ml injection into the myocardial region targeted for myocardial infarction (region served by coronary arteries OM1 and OM2). This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 12, 2014, issue of Science Translational Medicine, published by AAAS. The paper, by Dr. S.R. Eckhouse at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and colleagues was titled, "Local Hydrogel Release of Recombinant TIMP-3 Attenuates Adverse Left Ventricular Remodeling After Experimental Myocardial Infarction."
