Cassidy Anderson, a PNNL post-bachelor intern and Battery500 Consortium team member, holds a pouch cell battery in PNNL's Advanced Battery Facility. The battery is enclosed in a polymer-based pouch containing an aluminum barrier layer to keep it safely sealed in an air-free environment.
