For Controlling Tsetse Flies, Fabric Color Matters (IMAGE)
Caption
One of the experimental targets. The central cloth panel and the side panels of netting are all one meter tall and are covered on fine wires which electrocute tsetse contacting them. The flies then fall to be retained in the sticky tray on the ground. Odor attractants are released by the yellow plastic dispensers, with ketone evaporating from a hole in the top of the upright bottle and other chemicals diffusing through the walls of the closed prone bottle.
