This photograph was taken during research cruise on board the Research Vessel James Clark Ross in the Weddell Sea, gathering data used in this study. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Dec. 5 2014 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S. Schmidtko at University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK, and colleagues was titled, "Multidecadal warming of Antarctic waters."
