Dianne Williams, Carnegie Institution (IMAGE) Carnegie Institution for Science Caption Dianne Williams started out washing lab dishes at Carnegie's Department of Embryology as part of a Baltimore city jobs program for inner city youth 25 years ago. By hard work, and attending night school at Johns Hopkins, she is now a published researcher. She will receive the Carnegie Service to Science award May 5, 2010, in Washington, D.C., in recognition of her unique contributions.
