Heads-up Display Prototype (VIDEO)
Caption
The researchers built a prototype and showed that it could display flight information on a piece of glass representing a windshield. The image in the background is displayed on a television located 10 meters behind the heads-up display system. The beginning of the video shows that the presented image appears in the far field, meaning that observers don't need to change their focus to see the displayed information. The larger eye box of the display is evident when the camera view moves but the displayed information remains visible until the view moves far off to the side.
