The Marine Flatworm Paracatenula (IMAGE) Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology Caption Paracatenula is a marine flatworm that inhabits the sediments of warm regions. It can be found all around the globe in sheltered sandy habitats, for example in seagrass meadows, coral reefs or mangroves. The white coloration of Paracatenula is due to its bacterial symbionts that carry a variety of storage substances.
