This photo shows a biconical trap to catch tsetse flies. This particular trap has a plastic collection bag to kill flies rather than a mesh bag which allows for live capture. This image relates to a paper that appeared in Apr. 25, 2014, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by the International GlossinaGenome Initiative, was titled, "Genome Sequence of the Tsetse Fly (Glossina morsitans): Vector of African Trypanosomiasis."
