Statue of Thomas Cook in Leicester, where in July 2019 the Borders and Crossings Travel Writing Conference took place. Thomas Cook founded the international travel agency 'Thomas Cook and Sons' and in the mid-19th century was one of the first to organize travel tours on a large scale.
