Part of an extinct giant sloth's upper humerus recovered by divers during the 2014 excavations. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Feb. 27th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by J.T. Larmon at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, IL, and colleagues was titled, "A year in the life of a giant ground sloth during the Last Glacial Maximum in Belize."
