During normal operations of the Spallation Neutron Source, this world-class 'neutron factory' also produces neutrinos in large quantities. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 3 August, online issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by D. Akimov at Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics in Moscow, Russia, and colleagues was titled, 'Observation of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering.'
