This map marks refugia for California's vegetation by 2099 under conditions projected by global climate models. Green represents 'consensus' areas expected to remain suitable for the vegetation currently there under both wetter and drier conditions. Blue represents refugia under wetter conditions, while red indicates suitable areas when conditions are drier.
