This clip contains Brienomyrus brachyistius electric organ discharges converted to audio. You can hear the male and female courting (or at least, communicating). The male has the “deeper” sounding click, where the female has the “tinny” sounding click. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the 27 June, 2014, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, Jason R. Gallant at the Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich., and colleagues was titled, "Genomic basis for the convergent evolution of electric organs."
