Zika Virus-like Particle (VLP) Based Vaccine

Electron microscope magnified virus like particles in panels A and B that are used in the vaccine. These are similar in appearance to the actual Zika virus magnified in panel E. Monoclonal antibody (panel C) and human antibodies, obtained from a Zika patient (panel D) bind to the vaccine particles demonstrating that they contain antigens found on the actual virus that is shown in panel F.
