A scanning electron microscopy image of a metamaterial solid immersion lens assembled from 15 nm titanium dioxide nanoparticles. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 12, 2016, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by W. Fan at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and colleagues was titled, "Three-dimensional all-dielectric metamaterial solid immersion lens for subwavelength imaging in visible."
