A schematic paradigm demonstrating the main concepts of this study. Elevating the expression of protein SBP2 with the traditional Chinese herbal formula TNTL may provide a new solution for abolishing insulin resistance during obesity and diabetes. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the August 14th, 2019, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by N. Wang at University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China, and colleagues was titled, "SBP2 deficiency in adipose tissue macrophages drives insulin resistance in obesity."
