Lung Tumor Explants (IMAGE)
Caption
Lung tumor explants from patients are treated with current standard therapy, Cisplatin, and novel drug X. Yellow represents tumor area, green represents proliferating cells and red dying cells (top left). We can computationally detect all cells that are actively dividing and dying (top right). These data can then be used to calculate a patient specific response to standard of care drugs (Cisplatin), and novel targeted therapies (drug X) (bottom), allowing us to predict if novel drugs are better than current therapeutic options. Ki67 represents dividing cells, PARP represents proportion of dying cells.
