Migration Imbalance for New EU Countries Leads to Research 'Brain Drain' (2 of 3)

The number of people who emigrated in 2009-2012 from countries that had recently joined the European Union. These twelve countries become EU members during the 2004 and 2007 enlargements. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the April 12, 2017 issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by O.A.D. Arrieta at Institutions Markets Technologies Lucca School for Advanced Studies in Lucca, Italy, and colleagues was titled, "Quantifying the negative impact of brain drain on the integration of European science."
