Discosphaera tubifera was found in the Atlantic Meridional Transect cruise (AMT Nov. 24, 2015). This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 27, 2015 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S. Rivero-Calle at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and colleagues was titled, "Multidecadal increase in North Atlantic coccolithophores and the potential role of rising CO2."
