BCH2-based tubes. Each tube is fabricated by attaching two layers of 1xn BCH2 sheet. Assemblages of the tubes can result in foldable materials and structures. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Sept. 18, 2015, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by M. Eidini at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, IL, and colleagues was titled, 'Unraveling metamaterial properties in zigzag-base folded sheets.'
