BODE award winner Kristin Y. Pettersen from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology was one of the founders of Eelume, the Norwegian technology company that is producing underwater snake robots for commercial use. The robots can inspect underwater installations, such as well heads, and can also do a variety of tasks.
