SNA and L-aTNA, comprising a serinol and L-threoninol backbone, respectively, can hybridize with RNA. This study determined the crystal structures of dimers of hetero duplex of L-aTNA/RNA and SNA/RNA stabilized by Hoogsteen base pairs.
