NASA's Infrared Image of Tropical Storm Edzani (IMAGE)
Caption
This infrared image from NASA's Aqua satellite shows Edzani as a tight round storm, in the Southern Indian Ocean on Jan. 8 at 19:53 UTC. The purple area indicates strong convection and high thunderstorms with cloud tops colder than -63F. Since then, convection has waned and the storm started falling apart.
