Peter Embi, who is assumes the presidency of the Regenstrief Institute on Dec. 15, 2016, has been named chair-elect of AMIA. On Dec. 15 Dr. EMbi will also become Sam Regenstrief Professor of Informatics and Health Services and associate dean for informatics and health services research at Indiana University School of Medicine, associate director for informatics at the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute and vice president for learning health systems at Indiana University Health.
