HeLa cells treated with DZ-2384 (center) show the presence of mostly bipolar spindles with stunted microtubules and visibly misaligned chromosomes, while vinorelbine-treated cells (right) lacked any detectable spindle microtubules in both cell lines. Samples were immunostained with an antibody to α-tubulin (green) and phalloidin (red) and with DAPI (blue). Images were acquired by confocal microscopy with a 40x objective. Insets show an enlargement of single cells (bottom).
