Experiment 1 without marking: Squibbs alert hoos but does not mark a gaboon viper model for ignorant receivers with whom he does not share a bond (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii, Budongo Forest, Uganda). This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Nov. 15, 2017, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by C. Crockford at Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, and colleagues was titled, 'Vocalizing in chimpanzees is influenced by social cognitive processes.'
