This photo shows a heavy rain shower over the Amazon (Picture taken from measurement tower at ATTO site, March 2012). This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 31, 2012, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by C. Pöhlker at Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany, and colleagues was titled, "Biogenic Potassium Salt Particles as Seeds for Secondary Organic Aerosol in the Amazon."
