This is an oblique image of an optical laser scan with false color isopleths of part of the footprint trail on the upper surface. Three prints are visible in the image along with a range of other animal prints. This image accompanied the report "Early Hominin Foot Morphology Based on 1.5-Million-Year-Old Footprints from Ileret, Kenya," by M.R. Bennett et. al. appearing in the Feb. 27, 2009, issue of Science.
