The mouth of scale-eater is skewed either to the left or to the right. The direction of attack during scale-eating is tightly linked to each individual's mouth asymmetry in adulthood. At first, juvenile attacks from random orientation. And then, they become increasingly specialized at attacking one side as they grow.
