GOES-13 captured this visible image of Tropical Depression 16 on Sept. 28 at 1425 UTC (10:25 a.m. EDT) as it strengthening into a depression (bottom center) in the western Caribbean. The large area of clouds that stretch along the US east coast are associated with an elongated area of low pressure (a trough).
