Jack Lewis demonstrates the use of a virtual reality headset and controllers with NIST's virtual office environment in which first responders search for a body. The goal is to spur industry to come up with user interfaces -- visual indicators, sounds, voice commands -- that could be embedded in masks or smart glasses, and use the virtual environment to test their effectiveness.
