Above diagram illustrates the hazard and odds ratios for in-hospital death and mechanical ventilation, respectively, by World Health Organization Obesity class. Class III obesity (BMI ?30 kg/m2) was associated with a significantly higher risk of in-hospital death. Overweight and class I-III obesity was associated with a significantly higher risk of mechanical ventilation.
