This natural-color satellite image was collected by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard the Aqua satellite on April 29, 2017. Actively burning areas, detected by MODIS's thermal bands, are outlined in red. Smoke can also be seen billowing to the southwest from the fire area. This fire is located north of the Mossel Bay area of South Africa.
