Xiaophis myanmarensis snakes recently emerged from their eggs, on the floor of the amber-producing forest of Myanmar (99 million years ago). This material relates to a paper that appeared in the July 182018, issue of Science Advances, published by AAAS. The paper, by L. Xing at China University of Geosciences in Beijing, China, and colleagues was titled, "A mid-Cretaceous embryonic-to-neonate snake in amber from Myanmar."
